Dr. Debbie Leong graduated from the University of Queensland a long time ago. She hopes you wouldn’t think so. Debbie founded DL dental, a five chair multi award winning private practice in Alexandra Hills 25 years ago. She recently sold the practice and is now very excited and challenged to be working alongside her long time university friend Dr. Nick Defteros in Central Dental.
Her motto in life ‘ it is better to give than to receive’ has seen her organizing and working as a volunteer humanitarian dentist in very poor communities in Laos, Kenya, Nepal, Vanuatu, Cambodia and on ‘charity days’ at her former private practice.
She was the guest speaker twice at the Redland City Citizenship Award Ceremony at the Performing Arts Centre, appeared on the front page of the Wynnum Herald about how a Malaysian girl became a successful dentist and on TV on tips on how she copes with stress. Being grateful is one of them.
Dr. Debbie Leong is passionate and enthusiastic about meeting, getting to know and helping her patients. Her strong following of patients from near and far for their dental visits is testament to their appreciation for her gentle and caring nature and her efficient and painless treatment. Her patients trust her to do her best for them.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry but her passion lies in creating new smiles.
Debbie has boundless energy. She loves entertaining, tennis and hot yoga. She is happily married with two grown up daughters who live overseas.
